Rooted in Almadies
BSA welcomes children aged 18 months to 12 years, from preschool through CM2, at a bilingual school in Almadies, Dakar. Teaching in French and English takes place in a multicultural environment where every family belongs.
Montessori within a bilingual pathway
The school combines Montessori principles with content from French and Senegalese curricula. Children learn through hands-on activities, observation, and experimentation. Educators support their individual pace and the skills they are developing.
An international educational connection
Bright Scholars Academy describes an affiliation with Montessori School of Sugar Land in Texas. This educational connection is part of BSA’s identity; it does not replace a conversation with our team about the curriculum taught in Dakar.
A community that includes families
Collaboration between parents and the team helps us understand each child’s needs. A visit is an initial opportunity to see the classrooms, ask questions, and explore a possible admission.
Understanding the pathway before choosing
The three programmes meet different needs: early discoveries at 18 months–3 years, preschool learning at 3–6, and further development from CP through CM2 at 6–12. Consider your child’s schooling experience, languages, and routines too. The team can relate these to the intended programme.
Making your first visit useful
Prepare practical questions: how is an activity introduced, how is progress followed, and how do parents communicate with the school? Then explore admissions, fees, and daily-life pages. A visit provides information; it is not enrolment.
